So. The Killers Concert last night.

The concert was amazing, the band was fantastic. Jumping up and down for hour and half set was awesome. I was really impressed and very glad I ended up going.

Sitting in turned off car, for 2.5 hours, in parking lot, without moving one centimeter, not so much fun. When we eventually got moving, it took another hour and half to get out of parking lot. By that time it was 2h30 am. And last time I had eaten was 2pm.

Finally got home at 4am. Not very impressed with the venue. Not at all.

wordsalone got me watching this show, and I really need to rec it.

Modern Family - one of the most brilliantly written, funny (hilarious), sweet shows I've watching in a really long time. Some of the episodes were so funny that I had stop to catch my breath from laughing before I could continue. When I first read the premise, I thought, aah ok, that sounds cute, but it's so much more. It's so much more than just a sitcom, it's real, and I see so much of my own family in it.

Just go watch the first ep - I promise it'll make you feel so good that you'll have to watch the rest (I did) ;)

	Grand West Grand Arena
	There were about 10 000 people in the audience. I was sitting on the stands, having decided that I'm getting too old to stand for 4 hours :P
	The Parlotones! The lead singer, Khan Morbee
	The show was fantastic
	And they played for 90 minutes...
	...and then for another 30 min encore!
	The audience knew every word of every single song, which is amazing for a local band.

...I think I should upload some music later.

Popular Science is reporting that a piece of bread, dropped by a passing bird, has managed to damage the Large Hadron Collider.

"The bird dropped some bread on a section of outdoor machinery, eventually leading to significant over heating in parts of the accelerator. The LHC was not operational at the time of the incident, but the spike produced so much heat that had the beam been on, automatic failsafes would have shut down the machine."

My brother and sister-in-law officially received their Australian permanent residency visas last week.

Ideas on what to get them for Christmas? Not too cheesy/soppy, I think we're going to have enough of that already this coming Christmas. Also can't get them anything huge, as they going to send most of their stuff in a packing crate, and obviously space will be limited.

Something to do with photos/memories is obviously a thought, but that is difficult because I'm only getting home a week before Christmas, and all our family photos is at home. I thought about a digital photo frame, but damn, those things are expensive!

The fact that I have only now discovered the wonderfulness and awesome of Generation Kill saddens my greatly.

If you had told me beforehand that I would be totally and utterly in love with a tv show that is about marines (yes, and some of them are *actual marines* driving around in humvees in Iraq I would not have believed you (but now that you've clicked the links I think you understand why :p)
